Comprehensive Financial Management Functions

In an interview with Mr. Robert Nilsson, the Financial Controller of Kalmar Asia Pacific Ltd., he stated that, "Kalmar is a Swedish company which usually needs to measure 4 to 5 different accounting dimensions for the company's financial evaluation. In the early 90's, many similar software products on the market could only measure 2 to 3 accounting dimensions, therefore with the capability to measure up to 9 different accounting dimensions, Scala was chosen as our group's worldwide ERP system."

For Kalmar, Scala's financial management function provides it with efficiency in creating and issuing purchase orders, handling invoices, building and managing a budget, and knowing what and where the company's assets are. All these help Kalmar maintain a good standard of cashflow with its financial management capability.

Strong Local Support and After Sales Services
Mr. Nilsson is satisfied with the performance of Scala and especially the local support provided by Poly-Asia e-Technology, Scala accredited partner in Hong Kong, Guangdong China and Taiwan. He says "Poly-Asia helps us update the system all the time, and the training provided has greatly enhanced our staff's efficiency in using the system."
Maximizing Efficiency
Mr. Nilsson comments that, "except for the ability of measuring different levels of accounting dimensions, full multi-currency and a Unicode language function for multi-lingual capability , Scala could also adopt local regulations smoothly thus providing us with a high degree of flexibility." Mr. Nilsson continues to add, "by using Scala, it makes our management much easier, and it has also improved our staff efficiency."
Future Prospects
"China is the main market that we are going to focus on and we would like to implement Scala at our Shanghai office, and the manufacturing management function of Scala is going to be fully utilized," he adds , "to cope with our company's development, hopefully we would be able to update the current ERP system from Scala 5.1 to iScala 2.1 very soon and Scala's ERP system will also be implemented by Poly-Asia in our support centers at Beijing, Xiamen, Zhongshan, Dalian, Qingdao and Shenzhen in the near future."
